Introduction

Nima (operated by Buzz The Goldendoodle LLC) believes that your mental health journey is personal and should remain private. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI-powered meditation services.

We utilise secure cloud infrastructure to store your journal entries and meditation history, ensuring your data is accessible, safe, and recoverable across devices.

Data Collection & Storage

To provide you with a seamless experience, including session history and mood tracking, Nima stores the following data on secure servers:

Journal entries & mood logs. The text you write regarding your feelings, and your self-reported mood status.

Meditation history. Your generated session scripts, durations, and timestamps.

Account information. Your name, email address, and profile picture (if provided) are stored to create your account and authenticate your login.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect this data. We do not sell your personal journal entries or health data to third parties.

Audio Handling

Your voice (input). Processed instantly to text and discarded. We do not retain audio recordings of your voice.

AI voice (output). Generated in real time for your session. We do not store audio files. Once your session is complete, the audio data is discarded to protect your privacy and reduce data footprint.

AI Processing & Third-Party Sharing

To provide personalised meditation content, Nima uses AI technology from OpenAI, L.L.C. and ElevenLabs Inc. By using the generate feature, you acknowledge that your data will be shared with these providers solely for content generation.

OpenAI (script generation). We transmit your text inputs and mood selection to OpenAI to generate the text script for your session.

ElevenLabs (audio synthesis). We transmit the generated text script to ElevenLabs to convert it into spoken audio.

No AI training. We have configured our API usage with both providers to ensure your personal inputs and data are not used to train their general machine learning models.

Data protection. Both OpenAI and ElevenLabs adhere to data protection standards that provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Policy.

Anonymous Analytics

We collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app. This data is completely anonymised and cannot be linked back to your specific journal entries or identity.

Crash reports. If the app closes unexpectedly.

Feature usage. Aggregate data such as how many users engage with specific features.

Session efficacy. Anonymised session outcomes — for example, mood improvement rates — stripped of all personal identifiers.

Children's Privacy

Nima is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove the data.

Your Rights & Control

You maintain full ownership of your data. You have the following rights:

Access. You can view your full session history and journal entries directly within the app.

Deletion. You have the right to request permanent deletion of your data from our servers — via the "Delete Account" or "Delete Data" feature in app settings, or by contacting us directly. Once requested, your data will be removed from our active databases.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Policy periodically. Changes are effective when posted.
